NASA to Announce New Findings on Fate of Mars’ Atmosphere

NASA will provide details of key science findings from the agency’s ongoing exploration of Mars during a news briefing at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Nov. 5 in the James Webb Auditorium at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
The event will be broadcast live on NASA Television and the agency's website.
The news conference participants will be:
  • Michael Meyer, lead scientist for the Mars Exploration Program at NASA Headquarters
  • Bruce Jakosky, Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) principal investigator at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado, Boulder 
  • Jasper Halekas, MAVEN Solar Wind Ion Analyzer instrument lead at the University of Iowa, Iowa City 
  • Yaxue Dong, MAVEN science team member at LASP 
  • Dave Brain, MAVEN co-investigator at LASP




ചൊവ്വയിൽ ജലസാന്നിധ്യമുണ്ടെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം അമേരിക്കൻ ബഹിരാകാശ ഏജൻസി നാസ മറ്റൊരു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തലിനു ഒരുങ്ങുകയാണ്. ചൊവ്വയിലെ പുതിയ കണ്ടെത്തലുകളെ കുറിച്ച് വ്യാഴാഴ്ച വാർത്താസമ്മേളനം നാസ ഗവേഷകർ അറിയിക്കുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോർട്ട്.
എന്നാൽ എന്താണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയെന്നോ, വെളിപ്പെടുത്താൻ പോകുന്നതെന്നോ സംബന്ധിച്ച നാസ പ്രതികരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച പ്രാദേശിക സമയം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് രണ്ടു മണിക്കാണ് നാസയുടെ വാർത്താസമ്മേളനം.
ചൊവ്വയുടെ അന്തരീക്ഷം നഷ്ടമായത് സംബന്ധിച്ചുള്ള ചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഗവേഷകർ ഉത്തരം നൽകിയേക്കുമെന്നും കരുതുന്നു. ചൊവ്വാ പര്യവേഷണ പേടകമായ മാവന്‍ നടത്തിയ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെയും നിരീക്ഷണങ്ങളുടെയും വിലയിരുത്തൽ റിപ്പോർട്ടുകൾ അറിയിക്കാനാണ് വാർത്താസമ്മേളനമെന്നും സൂചനയുണ്ട്.

ISRO to Launch Record 83 Satellites on a Single Rocket ISRO Tuesday said it would launch a record 83 satellites in one go using its workhorse PSLV-C37 toward the end of January. "We are working for a January launch. It will be toward the end of January. The date has to be fixed," Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman A S Kiran Kumar told reporters in Bengaluru.
